Photoshop Faux Pas

Excuse my Lazy blogging this week. A post with lots of photos tomorrow.

I just tweeted about this but for those of you not on Twitter…

Warning: 10 Deadly Post Processing Sins

And please for the love of us trying to keep face, FOLLOW IT.

(AND as long as you love what you do how you shoot and how you choose to edit, and are happy….well then just keep being happy. Art is subjective. I know that…I am just agreeing for my sake with her, that doesn’t mean everyone has to agree with us….even though you should. HA!)

I keep wanting to make every “professional” photographer share unedited, raw, strait out of the camera images. That would be the most fair assessment of skill and experience for clients.

Maybe I will do a more in depth post on this later..could be interesting.

  2. This totally makes me laugh. I love it, and from here on out, will NEVER do selective color again. πŸ™‚ I love the natural look too, and I think that’s why I (and so many other people) are drawn to your work, Rachel. People don’t have the plastic look, they aren’t over processed, they’re just good photographs taken with real skill. Bravo my friend, bravo.

  3. I will never stop post production – NEVER! I’m so glad I was “required” to learn PS in college back on version 4.0. But this had me laughing out loud anyway. Selective Color – what words can describe my loathing of thee?

  4. I’m glad everyone got a little chuckle. Listen I use photoshop and I have done some of these very things in my dark past. Just good reminders to keep us all in check.
